The H2 MFDC Multi-function Drill Control monitors seed drill operations. It has a weatherproof and glove-friendly display, and supplies detailed metrics like speed, work rate, and alarms.
General Description
The H2 MFDC Multi-function Drill Control monitors operation and controls tramlining for conventional and pneumatic seed drills.
Display features
The standard retrofit system gets power from a 3-pin tractor implement power socket (COBO) in the tractor cab. You can set the display unit to ON or OFF with the Power button on the front panel. The display continues its previous ON or OFF status when you disconnect and reconnect the COBO connector.
The display is weatherproof and has an extra-bright LCD screen for outdoor use. Five capacitive touch buttons control all screen functions. The leftmost button also sets the power to ON or OFF. Each button on the display aligns with an icon on the current screen. You can push the buttons in all weather conditions and with work gloves.

Information on the display
The display shows:
- Forward speed (plus low speed alarm)
- Area totals 1/2
- The current bout number and tramline bouts for the selected tramlining sequence
- Fan RPM (plus low/high speed alarm)
- Seed distribution shaft RPM (plus low speed alarm)
- Work rate (area per hour)
- Grand total area
- Hopper pre-level alarm
- Hopper low alarm
There are two memory registers (Total 1 and Total 2) that record area and time worked for the selected total. The system automatically saves area totals and all calibration data in memory when power to the instrument is set to OFF.
The system detects when the drill is lifted out of work or lowered into work. This changes the bout number increment. The system only records work measurement when the forward speed is greater than 0.3 mph (0.5 km/h).
Display units or measure
The system only shows metric units of measure.
