Introduction

The calibration of the MC-X system is based on the relationship of system components, CTL lengths, and pivot points with respect to a planar surface. It is necessary to do these MC-X CTL system calibrations:
  • Body slope
  • Bucket
  • PAT blade
  • Grader blade
  • Bobcat and HitchDoc
  • Box blade
Refer to the related topics for full instructions. To save the machine setup after the calibration is completed, see Save machine setup.
Caution: If there is a change to the machine measurements, a second calibration of the system is necessary.
The cutting-edge bolts on the blade must be parallel or the same distance from the planar surface. The lowest point of the cutting edge must touch the planar surface.
Figure: Planar surface
New blades that are not worn will rest on the planar surface. Worn blades that are not smooth will not have the cutting edge that fully rests on the planar surface. For worn blades, only the minimum worn part of the cutting edge will touch the planar surface.
