CAT excavators are shipped with a factory calibration. This calibration must be fine tuned by the local CAT dealer. Any elevation errors in the 2D calibration from CAT will be transferred to the Topcon 3D system. If errors are found, contact a CAT Technician to recalibrate CAT 2D system before proceeding.
- Check the integrated CAT 2D system as a standalone system by using a plane laser.
- Open 3D-MC, and let the system initialize.
- Verify the accuracy of the excavator system at various machine positions.
