Topcon recommends a “Bench Test” check of system components is done before machine installation to avoid delays. The Bench Test confirms the components are functioning properly and updated with the required firmware and software before machine installation starts.
- Open the hardware kit boxes and using the packing lists, and make sure that all system items are present and have no damage.
- Make sure that each component has the latest or required software/firmware and update each as applicable during the bench test.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:This saves time during the installation because no field updates are necessary and it gives confirmation that all components operate correctly before installation.
- Find the system configuration for your machine installation and use the illustrations to connect the electrical components and cables for the bench test.
- Connect all components before you connect power.
- Connect to the MC-X Controller through the Machine Control Gateway (refer to MC-X Connectivity and Configuration).
- Make sure that the latest software and firmware is installed on each component.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Caution:Connect to power only after all components have been connected.
