Factory reset for GR-i3 with TRU

Use the Topcon Receiver Utility (TRU) to reset the GNSS receiver parameters to the default values and erase the Non-Volatile Random Access Memory (NVRAM). NVRAM holds necessary data for satellite tracking. A factory reset does not delete any files from the receiver and does not reset modem parameters.
  1. Complete a factory reset after you save a new GNSS firmware file, or to correct communication or tracking problems.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    It is necessary to give the receiver up to 15 minutes to collect new ephemerides and almanacs after a factory reset.
  2. Open the TRU from the desktop of the GX-Series display.
  3. Select DeviceApplication ModeReceiver Managing.

  4. Select DeviceConnect.

  5. Select ConnectNetworkt.
  6. Select Device Name to select the device name of the connected GNSS receiver board.
  7. If a Device Name was not configured, complete these steps:
    1. Select .
    2. Click and hold the white area of the screen.
    3. Select Add.
      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
      The Network Connection screen opens.
    4. Enter a name to identify the Main GNSS board.
    5. Enter the network parameters for the Main GNSS board:
      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
      • IP Address or Host Name: 192.168.01
      • TCP Port: 8012
      • TCP Password: TPS
  8. Select OK.
  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 for the Auxiliary GNSS board.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    The TCP Port for the Auxiliary GNSS board is 8013.

  10. Select ConnectTools (icon)Factory ResetOK.
  11. After both GNSS boards have been reset, close TRU.
  12. Open the Machine Control Gateway.
  13. Select Reboot.
