The multipath effect occurs when a signal is received through a Line of Sight (LOS) path, and through one or several Non Line of Sight (NLOS) paths. The multipath, if not addressed or compensated, can significantly decrease the performance of the communication and navigation receivers. Multipath reduction is useful to estimate and remove the undesired NLOS components.
