This compatibility matrix has two tables to identify the B5 and B6 machine differences with the introduction of the APU2023. The B5 ECM cannot run automatic functions, but users can upgrade to the B6 ECM.
For B6 machines, the difference between the VAB and the mono boom was removed. This simplifies the list of supported models.
To supply more functions, an upgrade path to the B6 ECM is available for machines with a B5 ECM.
Note: There are exceptions for the 330/340/352 UHD (ultra-high demolition) retrofit linkages and the 352/355 long-reach configurations. These models cannot use automatic functions even after an upgrade to the B6 ECM.
