The CAT Next Gen excavator must have active software enabling authentication (SEA) installed on the machine to integrate it with the Topcon MC-Max Excavator system. There are two different SEAs available for CAT excavators:
- Third-party Grade Control Systems SEA (CAT P/N 602-8421)
- Required for Topcon and other third-party grade control systems
- Required for Topcon systems installed on machines previously installed with CAT 3D Grade Control and aftermarket Trimble (Sitech) grade control systems
- CAT 3D Grade Control SEA (CAT P/N 603-3385)
- Required for factory installed CAT 3D Grade Control and aftermarket Trimble (Sitech) grade control systems
